Hawaii

Just arrived in Hawaii. A bit warmer than Sydney. It hasn't changed very much since I was last here about 20 years ago, with Rosy. The drugs I took on the plane are just starting to work - two hours after we landed. I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep for hours. Customs and immigration went really fast. The guy that checked me through was a Harry Potter fan and was reading the latest book in his spare time. He is really enjoying it.

Not long now before I board for the flight to Las Vegas.

There was a junior basketball team in the flight over. They weren't too noisy, but who could blame them, seeing the won the chamionship. You should have seen the size of the trophy. Each player had that state they came from on their sleeve. There must have been about 50 of them.

Jetstar is certainly very basic, but I am glad I didn't buy the food on the flight. It looked and smelled disgusting.

Sydney Airport

Got some time to kill as I went through ticketing and customs so fast my heaqd went into a spin.  15 minutes was all it took.  Just waiting for the boarding call and then I'm off.

The train trip this morning from Mittagong to Central went well.  It was full of old people and I could hear them all being cranky about one thing or the other.  Then they fell asleep - thank goodness.

Got everything I needed in Sydney and my feet are killing me already.  I think it is my turn to go to sleep.  Oh, I have had a few customs people say how brave I was going to the US by myself.  I wonder what they mean by that?

The day before tomorrow

It's the day before I leave for the USA. So many things to do and so little time. The main reason for this blog is to let people know where I am on my trip. I will have my mobile and will access my normal email address at any chance I get. Rosy has all my flight details. My first destination is Las Vegas. I'm looking forward to seeing what it is all about.
